A BIT ABOUT MIKE...
  Mike was born in Charles City, Iowa.  He graduated from Nashua High School and continued his education at Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo, Iowa, graduating with an associate’s degree in criminal justice.   He moved to Summit County Colorado where he worked in the food and beverage industry and the construction industry.  In 1991, he began splitting his year working in Hilton Head in the summer months and Colorado in the winter months.  He settled here in the Low Country permanently in 1999.  He worked for Greenwood Development for 3 years as the assistant beverage director overseeing Palmetto Hall, Arthur Hills, Robert Trent Jones and Fazio golf courses food and beverage operations.   He is married to Kathleen Strope Litchfield and they have two children, Caroline and Hayden.
